Magnesium hydroxide has skin-soothing properties that reduces acne, calms sensitive skin and rosacea, and improves the skin's overall appearance. It also lowers cortisol levels, stabilizes hormonal imbalances, and improves cellular processes. Magnesium hydroxide is a beneficial alternative to baking soda in natural deodorant as it kills bacteria without blocking pores or stifling the surrounding skin. Compared to baking soda, magnesium hydroxide is less water-soluble and takes longer to fully dissolve and absorb sweat, resulting in less potential for irritation.

Coconut oil helps moisturize dry skin, relieves inflammation, accelerates wound healing, and treats acne. It will not clog pores, and it absorbs readily into the skin.

Arrowroot powder is a natural talc substitute that contains beneficial minerals and vitamins such as zinc, iron, potassium, and Vitamin B6. It is known to provide relief to skin irritations including rashes and acne. Arrowroot powder is an effective acne treatment because it absorbs oil and sebum on the skin, helping to reduce excess oil which often leads to breakouts. Candelilla wax is a plant-based wax that has many benefits for the skin. It serves as a thickening and hardening agent, a synthetics-free emollient, and a nourishing skin conditioner. Candelilla wax is safe for the skin and naturally shields the skin from harmful environmental stressors. Candelilla wax is an excellent humectant, works wonders for moisturizing dry skin, and is incredibly soothing. It won't clog pores, and is safe to use on oily skin types. Candelilla wax minimizes stretch marks, hydrates the skin, and clears parched, scaly skin.

Jojoba oil is a true skin moisturizer. It is naturally rich in Vitamins A, D and E, and works to regenerate skin cells. Jojoba oil also contains fatty acids Omega 6 and 9, as well as Docosanol, which works to repair damaged skin cells.
