Witch hazel has a variety of skin benefits, such as relieving inflammation, tightening pores, and helping with razor bumps. It may also help reduce acne due to its ability to cleanse the skin of excess oil. Witch hazel acts as an astringent and has been used for hundreds of years to soothe irritated skin and heal minor wounds.
Glycerin benefits the skin barrier by pulling water from the air to keep the skin hydrated and minimize water loss. Glycerin can remain in the skin for a while, which helps the skin retain moisture even when exposed to damaging environmental aggressors like pollution. Glycerin also helps the skin’s natural lipids retain their structure to further promote a healthy skin barrier.
Coconut oil helps moisturize dry skin, relieves inflammation, accelerates wound healing, and treats acne. It will not clog pores, and it absorbs readily into the skin.
Ylang ylang has anti-fungal, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties that help clear acne and make the skin clearer. It also moisturizes the skin and helps regenerate cells, making it a great anti-aging agent. Ylang ylang can be used to treat acne, eczema, wounds, oily skin, and control sebum production.
Cedarwood soothes skin irritation, inflammation, redness, and itchiness as well as dryness that leads to cracking, peeling or blistering. It helps regulate sebum production, eliminates acne-causing bacteria and guards the skin. Cedarwood is particularly renowned for its ability to help reduce eczema flare ups.
Litsea cubeba has gentle astringent properties that help clean pores, and its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action minimizes and heals existing skin outbreak flare-ups. It can also help combat athlete’s foot, ringworm, and other fungal infections. Litsea cubeba is packed full of potent antioxidants that work deep down within the epidermis, repairing and renewing skin cells to help rejuvenate the complexion.
Catnip has antiseptic properties that make it useful for treating skin infections and speeding up the healing of minor wounds and cuts. It contains high levels of tannin that helps to accelerate the process of repairing damaged tissues and stop hemorrhages from grazes and cuts. Catnip works as an insect repellent.
Eucalyptus has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, making it ideal for soothing sunburns and protecting the skin from infection. It also boosts circulation and reduces redness and other inflammatory conditions, making it a super skin soother. Eucalyptus has been shown to increase ceramide production in the skin, thus improving dry skin conditions.
Shake gently before each use to incorporate the oils.
As always, please recycle the plastic container.
