Citrus Salt Scrub

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Glycerin, Epsom Salt, Sea Salt, Lemon, Tangerine, Grapefruit, Spearmint, Blood Orange, Lime, and Mandarin Oil

Coconut oil helps moisturize dry skin, relieves inflammation, accelerates wound healing, and treats acne. It will not clog pores, and it absorbs readily into the skin. 

Olive oil is a superb moisturizer suitable for all skin types. The oil's fat composition is very similar to that of human skin, therefore, olive oil generally doesn't cause any allergic reactions. It absorbs quickly, doesn't leave a greasy film behind, and helps lock moisture into the skin. The result is soft, smooth skin. Olive oil is high in oleic acid and is a good skin cell re-generator. It attracts external moisture to the skin and still permits the skin to properly release sweat, shed dead skin and release sebum.

Glycerin benefits the skin barrier by pulling water from the air to keep the skin hydrated and minimize water loss. Glycerin can remain in the skin for a while, which helps the skin retain moisture even when exposed to damaging environmental aggressors like pollution. Glycerin also helps the skin’s natural lipids retain their structure to further promote a healthy skin barrier. 

Epsom salt is a mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate. Epsom salt is a great exfoliant and natural cleanser, removing old, dead skin cells while simultaneously removing toxins and heavy metals.

Sea salt has several benefits for the skin. Magnesium, calcium, and potassium are skin-friendly minerals that can help combat acne-causing bacteria, skin infections, and speed up the healing process. Sea salt helps cleanse the pores on the skin, balance oil production, and retain moisture from within. Its anti-bacterial properties discourage the growth of bacteria responsible for breakouts and acne.

Lemon is rich in vitamin C and citric acid, so it helps to brighten and lighten your skin when used over time. Lemon has strong antibacterial properties, which makes it perfect for fighting breakout-causing bacteria. 

Tangerine acts as a barrier against harmful UV rays, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and brightens overall skin tone by increasing collagen production.

Grapefruit is rich in the anti-oxidants beta carotene, lycopene, and vitamin C. It transforms dull, dehydrated complexions and leaves the skin beautifully radiant.

Spearmint has a variety of benefits on the skin such as reducing wrinkles making the skin look youthful and glowing by increasing skin elasticity. It is rich in anti oxidants which can cure acne, dark spots, and dullness. Spearmint contains menthol which provides a cooling and calming sensation when applied to the skin as well as antiseptic properties that will actively clean and unclog pores.

Orange is a natural astringent, which helps to dry out existing acne and pimples. It is high in anti oxidants, which helps to neutralize free radicals and protects the skin from several damages including acne. The anti oxidants in orange helps protect the skin from external pollution and harmful effects of sun damage. The citric acid present in orange exfoliates the skin and unclog the pores, thus reducing chance of breakouts.

Lime is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C. It prevents the formation of wrinkles and lightens age spots. Lime also helps to rejuvenate the skin by building collagen.

Mandarin is very mild and known for many healing properties. Mandarin is useful in helping to reduce acne, brighten the skin, alleviate insomnia, reduce oily skin, diminish the appearance of scars and age spots and minimize stress and wrinkles.

Directions:  Gently rub into the skin, all over the body. Let sit for 2 to 3 minutes before showering to allow the minerals in the salt to absorb into the skin.

*Note:  Due to the nature of the product, it may cause the shower to become slippery. Keep lid tightly closed. Store in a cool, dry place. As always, please recycle the plastic container.
